Hillcrest Medical Centre – Appointment Policy Update
At Hillcrest Medical Centre, we’re committed to providing quality care and ensuring fair access to appointments for all our patients. We have a Did Not Attend (DNA) policy in place.
Starting 1st June 2025, a $50 fee will apply for missed appointments without sufficient notice.
We do send SMS reminders the day before your appointment. However, please note that this is a courtesy service—it’s still your responsibility to know your appointment time and attend on time, or reschedule if needed.
If you can’t make it, we kindly ask that you give us at least 2 hours’ notice so we can offer your spot to someone else. Without this notice, the DNA fee will apply.
Please be aware: DNA fees are not covered by Medicare.
You’ll need to settle any outstanding fees before making a new appointment.
For repeated missed appointments, you may face suspension from the practice, this will be at the doctor’s discretion.
If you have two outstanding DNA fees, no further appointments can be made until those accounts are finalised.
This policy helps us reduce wait times and provide timely care to all patients.
We truly value your time and appreciate your understanding.
If you have any questions, our reception team is always here to help.
